MACMHB Fall Conference

MACMHB Fall Conference

We had a great time at the MACMHB Fall Conference in Traverse City last week! Thank you to those who came and visited us at the conference. If you missed us, feel free to contact Sami Al Jallad, our Executive Director, at [email protected] with any questions or program inquiries.

In November, Turning Leaf opened Silver Maple Cottage, our first residential program in Kent County!

We are excited to continue to  to serve our friends on the west side of the state and support more residents closer to their home communities with this new program.

Silver Maple Cottage is a community-integrated, specialized residential treatment program located in Caledonia, Michigan. The program embraces a recovery-oriented approach to supporting adults with a primary diagnosis of mental illness in addition to those with a co-occurring developmental disability, traumatic brain injury, or substance use disorder. It provides an intense staffing ratio with on-site program managers, and staff will guide the individuals we serve in recreation, community integration, and skill building programming.

The program itself is a two-story cottage with the capacity to serve up to twelve individuals in multiple living areas, including completely barrier-free bedrooms and bathrooms on the first floor. It resides on 1 acre of land with multiple outdoor areas.
